You'll never find advertorials, sponsored links, or promotions for products and services we wouldn't use ourselves. You'll find real information written by real moms who love to show off our city.  Our outings take babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents to unique destinations all over the greater Los Angeles area...together. Our Story Mommy Adventure Club, LLC, started in the summer of 2007 as a small social group organized to counteract the perils of summer boredom. From a private email list of 32 moms and a handful of outings, Mommy Adventure Club has evolved into the solution for Los Angeles area families looking for fun. Almost a thousand moms subscribed to the weekly newsletter before the website launched in spring 2009. Hundreds of L.A. parents (and kids!) have participated in our adventures, and thousands of families now subscribe to the regular email newsletters, tweets, and RSS feeds of the site. Our Mission? Helping parents experience joy each day through memory-making adventures with their children in and around Los Angeles. About the Founder Carrie Lawson Robertson is the founder of Mommy Adventure Club. A fourth generation L.A. native, she got addicted to travel early on during countless road trips with her family. She grew up chasing cows on her family's cattle operation, then put those skills to use during the decade she worked as a middle school and high school agriculture teacher and non-profit grants consultant. Though she hates her blue minivan, she thinks it's funny that her kids can name all the major freeways in Los Angeles.  Carrie shares her stories of family travel, life in Los Angeles, marketing to moms, and experiential learning with families, groups, and the media. She lives with her husband and two children in one of L.A.'s many suburban neighborhoods, and hopes to help residents and visitors alike embrace the kooky loveliness that is Los Angeles.
